Musicality Intensive - Basics, Syncopations, Triples, Quarters, Pauses

There is no Tango without Musicality. When someone dances Tango without understanding the music/connecting with it, it is no more a dance, it is merely an activity. Tango Musicality can be very complex. We have broken this down and built a nice and easy structure that anyone can understand and build on. In the first hour, we will go through the basics and the foundations of Musicality and from there we will build on to more complex concepts. All of this will be done with real dancing with partners using sequences that are applicable in social dancing. As a leader, you will understand the possibilities and how to execute them and propose them to the followers. As a follower, you will understand the possibilities and how to bring your part to the partnership both with your quality of movements and adornments. Some of the concepts that will be covered are:

  • Rhythmical structures (strong beats, weak beats, etc)
  • Phrases
  • Syncopations
  • Triples
  • Quarters
  • Different Types of Pauses
