NEW Followers Technique

We’re thrilled to introduce a brand-new collaboration: Silvia Bivolaru & Nana Urigaeva are teaming up for a weekly Followers Technique class every Tuesday from 7.30 to 8.30pm! This class is included in all Classes Subscriptions (except the Beginners Subscription) and follows Monique’s Yoga session.

We welcome Nana at Tango Amistoso – and to London – for the first time and we are super excited for you to meet her too! An incredible tango teacher, dancer, and DJ from Georgia, Nana brings a unique background in dance and karate. She’s now partnering up with London’s rising star, Demetrio Scafaria (yes, he’s Italian, but we’re claiming him as one of our own!).

NEW Courses: Voleos & Ganchos on Wednesdays in Soho

We are starting new Beginners & Improvers courses with Kiran and Isavella on Wednesday 26 February, running for 7 weeks at the Soho School of Burlesque.

The Beginners course is perfect for those who want to try Tango for the first time or for those who want to revisit the basics and brush up their technique.

The Improvers Course is great for students looking to solidify the foundations and feel confident on the dance floor. Voleos and Ganchos come up all the time in social dancing, but the technique behind them is actually highly complex, requiring lots of work to master. In this course you’ll learn exactly how Voleos and Ganchos should be led and followed, you’ll familiarise yourself with the key concept of the free leg and how to power it in the correct way to create amazing Voleos and deep and safe Ganchos.

Beginner’s Crash Course

We’ve got another of our incredible Beginners Crash Courses coming up this Saturday, from 1pm to 4pm. It’s a brilliant way to cover the basics of tango – which we normally teach across a seven-week course – in just three hours! If you want to pick up tango quickly, need a refresher, want to bring a friend or even to learn the basics of another role in tango, come along and join us.

This Saturday: DeMilonga is on with guest DJ Rene Hellemons from 9pm to 2am!

We will be running the classes and Milonga Amistosa as per the usual schedule, and afterwards we will go to DeMilonga to continue dancing! If you are a subscriber, you will get a 50% discount when you enter DeMilonga.
