Conway Hall was an iconic venue for Tango in London. For those of you who are new to London, both Carablanca and Negracha used to be on Friday nights. Carablanca closed at midnight while Negracha at the old venue kept going till 3AM/5AM depending on the night. It used to be a ritual among some of the hard core dancers to go to Carablanca first and follow it up with late night Negracha while some others preferred the serenity of Carablanca and yet others in the quirkiness of the old Negracha! Alas, with times the old Negracha venue was lost to the builders and Carablanca did not get revived for various reasons after the Pandemic. This Friday, 8th September, there is the opportunity to re-live the moments of the golden age of Tango in London. Conway Hall has become a very expensive place to hire off late and we have put in a lot of efforts to secure the venue and get the organisation done. Please do come along, support our efforts and have a great time! There will be classes + Performance from Tango World Champions Marcos Roberts and Louise Malucelli and our own Ivan Arandia will keep you all dancing the whole night with his selection of music.
